Rafał Milach
Visual artist, photographer, author. Lecturer at the Institute of Creative Photography at the Silesian University in Opava, Czech Republic, and the Krzysztof Kieślowski Faculty of Radio and Television at the University of Silesia. In his works he deals with the transformation of the former Eastern Bloc.

Author of award-winning books, including The Winners, 7 Rooms and The First March of Gentlemen. Holder of scholarships from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, Magnum Foundation and the European Cultural Foundation. Winner of the World Press Photo competition, finalist of the Deutsche Börse Photography Prize 2018. Co-founder of the Sputnik Photos collective. Since 2018 he has been a nominated member of Magnum Photos.

He presented his works at many exhibitions in Poland and around the world. His photographs can be found in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw, the Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art, the ING Polish Art Foundation, the Museum in Gliwice, Kiyosato, the Museum of Photographic Arts in Japan, the Brandts Museum of Art & Visual Culture in Denmark.
