Born in Balin in 1958, he graduated from the secondary school of fine arts in Nowy Wiśnicz and studied at the Faculty of Graphic Art of the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków (branch in Katowice), graduating in 1987. He started working at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice in 1988 and is currently Associate Professor. Member of the ZPAP Association of Polish Artists and Designers since 1990 and board member of the Katowice chapter in 2003-2006. In 1993, he became an honorary member of the German Artists Association of Westphalia, and of the international group of artists of the Langenfeld city (Germany). He has presented 57 solo exhibitions, taken part in over 150 group exhibitions in Poland and abroad, and curated over 10 exhibitions in Poland.
