Born in Częstochowa in 1971, a graduate of secondary school of fine arts. She studied at the Faculty of Graphic Art of the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków (branch in Katowice) and obtained her diploma at Prof. Tomasz Jura’s Graphic Design Studio and Prof. Roman Nowotarski’s Painting Studio in 1997. She became Doctor of Fine Arts in 2004, and associate professor (dr hab.) of Fine Arts in 2011. Currently she is a Professor of the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice, where she heads the Chair of Painting and the doctoral school. She teaches the Drawing Studio for first-year students of Painting, and coordinates the inter-university programme in art therapy delivered jointly by three Katowice schools: the AFA, Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music, and University of Silesia. She has presented her work at numerous solo and group exhibitions in Poland and abroad. Her projects implementing art in therapeutic activities since 2010 include: Art as a Tool of Social Therapy, The Second Space, My Piece of a Garden.
