A graduate of sociology (2007) and political sciences (2009), she obtained her doctoral degree in sociology at the Catholic University of Lublin in 2013, defending her dissertation titled Literatura jako próba socjologicznego portretu społeczeństwa. Studium przypadku na podstawie twórczości Honoriusza Balzaca i Emila Zoli (Literature as a sociological portrait of the society. A case study based on the works of Honoré de Balzac and Émile Zola). She is currently engaged in research of the media and Internet, which she combines with her study of terrorism and military conflicts, analysing the official media of contemporary terrorist organisations (mainly ISIS and AQAP). She carries out research projects on the propaganda of terrorist organisations, their communication strategies and media policies, as well as the recruitment of volunteers who fight in their ranks. Her latest research projects focus on the publications, handbooks, music and films produced by the so-called Islamic State (ISIS).
