Dr Marta Lisok, art critic and curator. Teacher at the Department of Theory and History of Art of the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice. She graduated in philosophy from the Silesian University and in art history from the Jagiellonian University, where she defended his PhD thesis on Polish non-visual works of art of the early twenty-first century (under the supervision of dr hab. Maria Hussakowska). She won a scholarship from the Marshal of the Silesian Voivodeship and the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. Author of the book „Savages. New art from Silesia”(2014). Editor of the art department of the magazin „Artpapier" in 2006-2009. She collaborated with periodicals: „Dwutygodnik”, „Fragile”, „Opcje”, „Format” and „Art & Business”. She has curated numerous exhibitions at BWA Gallery of Contemporary Art in Katowice, incl.: „Deep Listening” (2019), „Stand off” (2018), „Solstice” (2017), „Phantom” (2016), (2015), „Nocturnal Activities" (2015), „On Generation and Corruption" (2014), „Milk Teeth" (2013), "Inessentials" (2012), „Can't see anything"(2011), „Replicants" (2010), „Accidental Pleasures" (2009) and at the Bunkier Sztuki in Cracow: „Domestic animals” (2018), BWA in Tarnów: „Kingdom” (2015), Rondo Sztuki in Katowice: „Camp” (2010), Center for Contemporary Art Ujazdowski Castle: „An then, it turned out that I had died” (2016), „Excavation” (2017), „Never Embrance Burning Statues” (2019).
