Art photographer. Graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków (branch in Katowice), he obtained his diploma at Prof. Tomasz Jura's studio in 1993. A Professor of the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice, head of the Photography Studio. He practises creative and documentary photography and creates cycles of works. His interests focus on the photography as a visual arts medium that provides room for formal and technical experiments. He draws inspiration from classic photography and tries to enrich it with new graphic forms, which in their semantic aspects refer to the broadly defined existentialism. He has authored several Silesia-themed album publications and catalogues, and cooperated with Lech Majewski on the films Blood of a Poet and The Mill and the Cross. He has realised solo and group exhibitions in Poland and abroad, albums and educational projects.
