Born in Szopienice (Upper Silesia) in 1967, he studied at the Art Institute of the University of Silesia (branch in Cieszyn) from 1991 to 1995. He defended his sculpture diploma project at Prof. Jerzy Fober’s studio. A full professor since 2011, Sławomir Brzoska has been the author of over 60 solo exhibitions and participant of more than 140 group exhibitions in Poland and abroad. His art performances and actions have taken place on several continents. He is the initiator, and curator from 2010, of the preMedytacje project, which includes exhibitions, seminars, conferences and art shows. His activities cover the areas of sculpture, installation art, video, land art and performance.
