Book illustration competition: main prize for AFA Katowice student
Competition organised by Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Techonology in Warsaw, Fundacja Sztuki Nowej ZNACZY SIĘ in Cracow.
The main prize of the competition titled Tajemnice sieci was awarded to Aleksandra Waligóra (Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice).
The jury has appreciated the general concept of the work – the original presentation of the characters, sparing use of colour, dynamism of the scenes, introduction of typographic elements as illustration – as well as the high quality of prepress. The illustrations are tailored to the age level of the readers, they stimulate the imagination of older children through the use of understandable codes and humour.
AFA Katowice student Katarzyna Jankowiak was also qualified for the competition final.
