Small Graphic Forms: award for our alumna
Darya Hancharova wins an Honorary Medal.
The Small Graphic Forms international competition and exhibition in Łódź has been organised since 1979. The idea of an international exhibition presenting the graphic miniature was conceived in 1979 in the Lodz circles of bibliophiles and graphic artists gathered in the Łódź Society of Book Friends. For 40 years the exhibition has been a celebration of printmaking, being one of the oldest cyclical events devoted to this art form, and the largest international presentation of graphic art in Łódź.
In 2020, as in the previous years, the works qualified for the main exhibition were prints in the format of 12 x 15 cm, produced in old printing techniques. During each edition of the exhibition 10 artists are awarded the Honorary Medal. The international jury: Majla Zeneli, Jaroslav Kachmar, Marek Basiul, Dariusz Kaca and Dariusz Leśnikowski selected 830 prints by 303 artists to be presented at the main exhibition.
The Honorary Medal winners include AFA Katowice’s last-year graduate Darya Hancharova (Belarus/Poland).
The exhibition also presents works by other alumni and teachers of AFA Katowice:
