The Spaces of Interspace (Hommage à Otto Freundlich) project refers to Otto Freundlich, the great Jewish German painter, sculptor and theoretician with biographical links with Poland, Germany and France. The exhibition is intended to recognize and remember the life and art of one of the pioneers of the world’s avant-garde, and to show his work in the broader context of contemporary artistic practice. The organizers of the project seek to find connections between the aesthetic and conceptual leitmotifs of the early 20th-century German artist and today’s Polish and german art.
