Born in Zabrze in 1977, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Katowice (diploma with distinction at the Intaglio Techniques Studio in 2003) and at the University of Silesia (branch in Cieszyn, diploma in 2002). He has been teaching at the AFAD in Katowice since 2003, currently heading the Interpretation of Literature Studio. He obtained the degree of Doctor of Fine Arts in 2005, Associate Professor (dr hab.) in 2010, and was awarded the title of Professor of Fine Arts in 2021. Dean of the Faculty of Art in 2008-2012, Vice-Rector for Education and Student Affairs in 2012-2020, Rector of the AFAD in Katowice since 2020. A visual artist working in drawing, printmaking, installations and site-specific projects, he was twice a grantee of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. Author of several dozen solo exhibitions and participant of over 250 group exhibitions in Poland and abroad. Winner of numerous awards and distinctions. Curator of the 9th and 10th Triennial of Polish Graphic Art in Katowice.
