Graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice. She defended her diploma with distinction in design at the Product Design Studio, under the supervision of Prof. Jerzy Wuttke, in 2003. She obtained her PhD in 2011, and the degree of associate professor (dr hab.) in Fine Arts in the area of design at the Faculty of Industrial Design of the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków in 2014. In 2002, Agata Chmielarz received a grant of the Minister of Culture and an art scholarship of the Mayor of Częstochowa. She began her work at the Product Design Studio at the AFA Katowice, and became Head of the Chair of Industrial Design in 2016. She teaches the Product Design Studio for first-cycle students. She worked as a designer at DOSPEL in 2003-2004, at Neo-Spiro in 2004-2006, and then started to run her Ardema company in 2006. Lecturer with year-long experience in teaching.
