Graphic designer, curator, editor. Born in Kraków in 1972, he graduated from the Faculty of Industrial Design of the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków in 1998 and obtained the degree of Doctor of Fine Arts in 2005. In 2014, he was awarded the artistic and pedagogical degree of Docent of design by the Rector of the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava. He was an assistant teacher at the Chair of Visual Communication of the Faculty of Industrial Design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków in 1999-2007 before he started teaching at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice in 2007. A lecturer at the RISD in Providence (USA) and a winner of awards and distinctions. Co-founder, and editor-in-chief in 2001-2016, of the 2+3D national quarterly of design. Author of articles and publications on contemporary graphic design, including Niewielki słownik typograficzny (A Small Dictionary of Typography); co-author of PGR. Projektowanie graficzne w Polsce on graphic design in Poland, editor of Piękni XX-wieczni. Polscy projektanci graficy on 20th-century Polish graphic designers, and co-editor of the collection of texts on design titled Widzieć/Wiedzieć (To See/To Know). Jury member of design competitions in Poland and abroad. Grantee of the Polish-U. S. Fulbright Commission at Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum in New York (2001/2002) and of the Kościuszko Foundation at Rhode Island School of Design in Providence (2006/2007).
