Painter, professor, Head of the Painting Studio at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice. Vice-Rector of the school in 2005-2012. His solo exhibitions have been shown in Poland, Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, France, Norway, the USA, Italy and Hungary. He has taken part in over 300 art exhibitions. His works are in the collections of several dozen museums in Poland and abroad. He was the first living artist to show his retrospective at the National Museum in Kraków. He has been directing his plays since 2005, including Dom przeznaczony do wyburzenia (2005) and Mleczarnia (2007) at the Stanisław Wyspiański Teatr Śląski in Katowice, and Chłodne poranki (2012) at the Teatr Zagłębia in Sosnowiec. He has received numerous awards and distinctions, including the Silver Medal Gloria Artis (2011) and the annual award of the Marshal of the Silesian Voivodship.
