A sociologist, graduate of the University of Silesia, he maintains professional ties with his old school. He has been working at the AFA Department of Theory and History of Art since 2012, researching social life, especially the problems of social structures, economic sociology, and sociology of art. Co-author (with Tomasz Warczok) of the book titled Miłośnicy, znawcy, koneserzy czy przechodnie? Recepcja sztuki współczesnej na przykładzie galerii Górnego Śląska on the reception of contemporary art in the galleries of Upper Silesia, and organiser of the conference Specyfika formy czy specyfika treści. Problemy polskiej socjologii sztuki on the problems of the Polish sociology of art.
