Born in Wałcz in 1966, he obtained his diploma in graphic design at the Faculty of Graphic Art of the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków (branch in Katowice) in 1993. He was a 2002 grantee of the Marshal Office of the Silesian Voivodship. A teacher at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice since 2003, he received his doctoral degree in 2005, and the degree of associate professor (dr hab.) in painting in 2013. Currently he teaches at the Chair of Painting of the Faculty of Art.
