The studio prepares students for the profession of industrial designer. We place emphasis on the acquisition and use of the knowledge of ergonomics in design practice. This knowledge, research and design methodology are focused on the human being in both the individual and social dimension. The design objectives of assigned tasks involve especially: improving usability, mental and physical comfort, safety, application of the principles of universal and sustainable design. The studio uses the latest digital design and manufacturing tools, including rapid prototyping technology that allows students to visualize and test the projects as well as facilitate communication and collaboration with engineers and manufacturers who use the same tools. Projects are carried out in close collaboration with users and manufacturers. An important role in teaching students is played by visits to production sites.
