Connecting Art 2020: online seminar
Presentation of projects supporting communication between the hearing and the deaf, with contributions from 27 students and 5 teachers of the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice.
The works were created in the Visual Information Studio and Illustration Studio of the AFA Katowice Faculty of Design in 2018-2020.
Students of Graphic Design, in cooperation with deaf participants, created visual tools intended to improve communication between the hearing and the deaf. The projects focused on education, play, integration, and help in everyday life with a special emphasis on emergencies as they generate a lot of problems in the area of availability of transport, health care, employment or services. Some works centre on the availability of the sensations related to the reception of music.
