Marcin Hajewski in Łódź

The event accompanies the 11th Polish Print Triennial in Katowice. Opening: third floor, ul. Wojska Polskiego 121, 17 November at 13:00.                         

The exhibition consists of a collection of works from the cycle titled ‘Unannounced thought’ (‘Myśl niezapowiedziana’). The artist attempts to record the phenomenon of a memory construct. Blocked thoughts, or those temporarily put aside, take up the free space of our ‘inner drive.’ This is physical matter, often beyond one’s control. It does not fully shape the creative process, nevertheless causing its positive drive and physical distortion. The artist uses the techniques of offset and algraphy, which, together with lithography, have been his research interest for several years.
