Monika Mysiak. Privacy
On entering the Privacy exhibition we enter an untouchable, inviolable private space.
The subject of privacy is put in the centre of attention at the Rondo space, in full public display but at the same time keeping its place in the margins of reality. Private moments and situations, normally occurring in seclusion, have been covered by a layer of painted fabric, which turns out have also been marked by personal memories.
MONIKA MYSIAK – born in Sosnowiec in 1986, in 2012 graduated with distinction in painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice. She realized her painting diploma project under the supervision of Prof. Jacek Rykała and an additional drawing diploma at Prof. A. Kowalski’s drawing studio, where she is currently a doctoral student. Two years earlier, in 2010, she obtained a degree in IT and econometrics from the University of Economics in Katowice. Currently she lives and works in Chorzów.
