Snow Art Poland awarded in Sapporo
At the 44th International Snow Sculpture Contest, the Snow Art Poland team formed by ASP teachers won the fourth prize.
This is the third award won by the team in Japan. Two years ago, also in Japan, the team achieved a similar success and came fourth. Last year at the Japan Cup in Nayoro they were honoured with the Nayoro City Award.
The sculptors associated with the Katowice Academy of Fine Arts are the only Poles ever rewarded in Japan for snow sculpture. The Japanese awards are not not, however, the only prizes Snow Art Poland pride themselves on, as they have already won awards at competitions in China and Russia.
The team, consisting of Tomasz Koclęga, Piotr Proba and Piotr Muschalik made a sculpture titled “Pressure”.
