The Most Beautiful Books of 2017 – honourable mentions for AFA in Katowice
AFA’s publications have received 2 honourable mentions and 2 nominations in the 58th competition of the Polish Association of Book Editors
The honourable mentions have gone to two publications: Nothing or everything has already been this year. I want too much, but I can too little or a conversation with Van Eyck by Maciej Linttner and Unknown Unknowns by Szymon Kobylarz.
The former was recognized for its illustrations by Maciej Linttner, and the graphic design and typesetting by Agata Korzeńska and Paweł Krzywda. All three are lecturers at the AFA in Katowice.
The authors of Unknown Unknowns graphic design, which also received honourable mention, are AFA in Katowice students Weronika Mehr and Maria Prochaczek.
The list of nominations included some other books published by AFA in Katowice and designed by the Academy teachers: Solidaryca – fenomen komunikacyjny by Tomasz Bierkowski (graphic design and typesetting by Tomasz Bierkowski, lecturer of AFA in Katowice) and Fotografie edited by Piotr Szymon and Piotr Muschalik (graphic design by Katarzyna Wolny).
