The Pawnshop: Bytom
‘The Pawnshop’ film has inspired an exhibition at the CSW Kronika in Bytom.
While Łukasz Kowalski's documentary continues its triumphal progress across festival screens (the Polish Film Academy award for the best documentary film was followed by a special honourable mention at the 18th European Film Festival in Paris and two main awards at the Music & Cinema festival in Marseille! ), more and more artists begin to draw from the inexhaustible wealth of the Bytom pawn shop.
From April 15, CSW Kronika in Bytom will host an exhibition inspired by the film ‘The Pawnshop’ by Łukasz Kowalski and prepared by artists associated with the Interdisciplinary Creations sSudio of the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Katowice.
The opening of the exhibition will take place on 15 April at 19:00. Angelika Czubasiewicz will present her performance during the event. FOQL, a sound artist and author of experimental electronic music and film music for films, plays and games, will create the musical setting of the event.
