Michał Latko, industrial designer and design manager. Graduate of the Chair of Industrial Design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice and the Faculty of Design Management at the Collegium Da Vinci in Poznań. He graduated with distinction on July 31, 2007 in the field of industrial forms design (promoter – prof. Jerzy Wuttke).
In 2005, he was ranked first in the international Interior Motives Design Awards competition, in the "Best use of technology" category for his Volvo tractor unit cab concept. Since 2006, he has been running his own design studio, providing strategic support to customers in developing and implementing new products and services. In 2008, he won the first prize in the Śląska Rzecz (Silesian Thing) competition in the product category for the design of the ZIR Slim light signaling system for the GrupaZIR company.
In the years 2009 – 2011, he supported activities related to the implementation of a new design and visual communication strategy in the VOX Capital Group. In the years 2011-2013, he was a member of the interdisciplinary design team of the Design Silesia programme, whose leader was the Marshal's Office of the Silesian Voivodeship. Since 2011, he has been cooperating with leading Polish design studios, reaching for prestigious awards, including: The Red Dot Design Award, Design Management Europe Award, iF Product Design Award. In 2018, together with the SONDA SYS design team, he received the Upper Silesian Fund Award for the design of an industrial printer for additive manufacturing with the use of powdered polyamides (SLS).
Since 2018 he has been associated with the Faculty of Design of the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice, where as an assistant in the Product Design Studio he provides support to Dr. Andrzej Sobaś and individually conducts classes in the field of visualization of objects and phenomena.
