Painting Studio II

The student’s work is to be focused on the phenomenon of pure art – with a particular emphasis on painting, but including also photography, installation, sculpture, conceptual art, etc. (up to the student to decide). Often it will go beyond the broadly understood domain of aesthetics, which is a hallmark of contemporary art. In such cases, all attention will be directed at the meaning of the resulting work. Starting with the academic year 2016/2017, students under the supervision of dr. hab. Michał Minor will address issues related to painting and other activities in the public space. Painting as a means of artistic expression will continue to be used as one of the media. It will also acquire the function of giving shape and formal dimension to mural, street art, urban art, site-specific, art intervention, action and performance art, with the help of theatrical proxemics.
