The studio runs courses based on a diversified and dynamic curriculum corresponding to the fields of study available at the Academy. Learning in the studio develops competences of photographic practice and theory. The learning process introduces students to the diversity of attitudes present in contemporary photography in its commercial, artistic and social dimensions. The nature of the tasks and exercises that students pursue provokes a careful and critical analysis of the surrounding phenomena, and then leads them to creative reworking in the process of conceptualizing and creating visual narratives. The effects of work are usually presented in the form of photographic cycles, exhibitions, publications or intermedia projects. The studio prepares students to use the medium of photography deliberately – not only to support other disciplines, but also to provide them with a basis of photography as an autonomous artistic medium and encouraging them to practice it.
