Sculpture and Spatial Creations Studio aims to develop conscious and creative artistic attitudes in students. Our teaching is twofold: we improve manual and observation skills through studio tasks, and intellectual capabilities through defining abstract problem tasks. Stress is placed on the knowledge of the attitudes and issues of contemporary art, the consciousness of the interrelatedness of content and form, the ability to manipulate space, and the perception of the relationship between the sculptural space and the surrounding space. It is also important to understand the process – from conceptual design to complete form – in the context of choosing working methods. Based on the variety of materials and the freedom of use of the medium, semester tasks are assigned that respond to specific topics. They are the starting point for students to develop their own field of exploration that they would like to convey in their art.
