AFA Katowice teachers will be deciding about Oscars
The American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has invited new members to join its ranks. The invitees include two AFA Katowice teachers.
The invitations were extended to Marcel Sławiński and Katarzyna Sobańska-Strzałkowska, the set designers of Cold War and Ida, and teachers at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice. Apart from them, five other people from Poland received invitations: Aleksandra Staszko (costume designer for Cold War and Ida), Ewa Puszczyńska (producer of Cold War and Ida), Piotr Dumała (animated film artist), Jerzy Kucia (director, script writer and producer of animated films) and Damian Nenow (director of Another Day of Life).
